





Get to know more about Tony Schuman
Tony Schuman is a registered architect and associate professor of architecture at New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he serves as Director of the Undergraduate Program . In March, 1999, he was elected to the presidency of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture ACSA which represents the 119 accredited schools of architecture in the U.S. and Canada. His articles on housing design and community development appear in eight books and numerous scholarly journals and conference proceedings. His writings have received awards from ACSA and the society for American City and Regional Planning History. Tony was a founding member of a series of advocacy and activist organizations in the architecture and planning professions, including Urban Deadline, The Architects' Resistance(TAR), Home front, and the Planners Network. He is past chair of the New York Chapter of Architects/Designers/Planners for Social Responsibility(ADPSR).
